Hernando Beach is the place to be if you want to be close to or on the Gulf of Mexico. Nearly all houses are on canals that lead, either directly or indirectly, to the Gulf. Only one section is deed-restricted, for those who are into that style of living. There are several restaurants, as well as access to the protected lands of Weeki Wachee. If you have a boat, kayak, etc., you can launch it from a number of places here. Just a few minutes away from major businesses, yet still a tranquil setting. Less than an hour to Tampa.
